Disinfection of Portable Water Main Installations
Pipeline Chlorination/De-chlorination using Sodium Hyper-chlorite / Sodium Thio-sulphate
Sodium Hyper-Chlorite is the cheapest and more traditional way to disinfect pipelines.
Our chlorination services are undertaken using volumetric dosing pumps specifically manufactured for the accurate chlorination of pipelines. The unit we have is a Vernon Morris Modular 305. It is a very accurate and precise unit which doses the charging water from 1-100p.p.m.
We check the Chlorus levels as and when required using comparator equipment.
Thio-Sulphate crystals will be used for dechlorination.
• Not recommended for use near environmentally sensitive areas.

Carela Bio-Des (Disinfection for Portable Water Installations)
The Carela Injektor is a dosing pump for pipeline disinfection. The dosing pump’s maximum performance is 54 litres per hour. At a setting of 100%, an individual stroke does 7.3 ml. The dosing pump is able to take in a 3 meters water column. The zero point of the pump is preset at a backpressure of 6 bars. Minor variations (+/- 1 bar) will influence the pump’s performance insignificantly only. It is equipped with an inductive contact water metering unit that transmits one pulse to the dosing pump every 10 litres of water.
• Free of chlorine, based on acidized hydrogen peroxide, without any heavy substances that might harm sewage.
• Gentle to the environment due to its composition and reaction principle.
